Module marks with a weighted average of x.49 and below will be rounded down to the nearest whole number (ie. If the module weighted average is 42.45, this will be rounded to 42). Those with a weighted average of x.5 and above will be rounded up to the nearest integer (ie. 42.53 be rounded to 43 ).;This rounded number is the number that will appear on your final transcript.
There is no rounding applied when calculating your eligibility for a particular classification, so a student with a weighted average of 59.9, for example, will get a 2.2 rather than a 2.1 classification under the weighted average method of calculation, since 59.9 falls short of the 60% required for a 2.1 award.
If you are an undergraduate student or undertaking an Integrated Master’s Degree, you can use the Undergraduate Degree Classification Calculator, or if you are a Taught Postgraduate student, you can use the Taught Postgraduate Degree Classification Calculator, to estimate the degree you will be awarded based on your grades.
