When you tap into sessions make sure you are swiping into the timetabled room:
You can do this from 10 minutes before your session (no earlier) until 10 minutes before the end of your session (not at the very end).

Make sure when tapping your ID card that it is out of your wallet or phone case. This will prevent interference from other cards such as contactless cards or passes.

Ensure that you are using your newest ID card to swipe in and that it is in date. If you have more than one card, be sure to use the one with the highest number to the bottom right of the ID picture. (You should destroy any old cards)

Ensure you are attending the correct session as shown on your timetable, tutorial/seminar/workshop group changes must be approved by your tutors.

If you believe your card still doesn’t work, then you should go to a Student Hub and let them know that the card is faulty. They will be able to replace it for you. Your new card may take up to 48 hours to activate. In this time, you should ask your tutors to manually mark you as present.
