Our Academic and Study Skills Tutors can provide feedback on your writing and can help with a range of queries and show you where to go for further help if required. To get the most from our advice, simply let us know the area you would like your feedback to focus on.
For example, you might choose, but are not limited to, areas such as academic writing style, grammar, or to know if you are writing critically.
Please note this is not a proofreading service, it is designed to help you to identify areas for development and to learn how to correct them.
You can send your work to studyskills@mmu.ac.uk and we’ll aim to provide feedback by email within four working days. It is helpful if you submit the assignment brief as well as a sample of your work.
You can also book a one-to-one appointment to discuss your writing and receive some feedback by calling 0161 247 3330.
If you are a foundation, first year undergraduate or Level 7 apprenticeship student, you have access to Studiosity, an external online service that will review your draft work and give you quick feedback on how to improve your writing style. You can access Studiosity via Moodle if you are eligible to use it.
